Graphic Recording is a great tool to use to simplify complexity. Explaining the flow of money through a company is easy for some using spreadsheets, and brain-freezing for others with numbers-phobia. After interviewing the finance organization, I drew the flow of money from the sales funnel through revenue recognition. Then I defined some of the most commonly used financial equations. The full drawing opened the path to understanding for many employees, and simplified a concept that was complex to many.
