Hi – I’m Sue, and I’m a graphic recorder! My company – GOT IT! Learning Designs – takes the spoken word and transforms messages into colorful and captivating summaries for the visual learner. Building on two decades of corporate experience in learning and development, I am thriving in my seventh year of business, serving a diverse array of clients who value literally being able to see their messages and therefore ‘getting’ the big picture!
To help your business thrive, I provide graphic recording for training workshops that simplify complex concepts and capture important information. One of my greatest delights is to take a concept from a subject matter expert that’s kind of complex, and draw it out so anyone else can look at it and say, “Oh yeah! I got it!” (Yep, that’s the name of our company too.) After training, your takeaway is a graphic map – a summary of the course. What a great content retention tool!
When your business puts together a conference, you can include graphic recording for your keynote presentations and breakout sessions. There is so much content in these kinds of sessions and often participants feel energized and overwhelmed with new information. Graphic recording provides very effective visual summaries for participants. Same for important meetings and any other gathering where there are a collection of thoughts and ideas you’d like to SEE.
I am active in my profession. I was chapter President of the Northern Rockies Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (now Association for Talent Development). I am currently an active board member of the Denver Rocky Mountain Chapter of ATD. I am an active member of the International Forum for Visual Practitioners (IFVP) and have attended several conferences with my international colleagues.
Personally I love the outdoors. I am a road cyclist and have climbed, at last count, 17 mountain passes on my bicycle. I enjoy hiking, snow shoeing, and drawing in plein air.
I would love to collaborate with you. I’m a trained listener and I’m here to meet your business needs with some really cool tools!
