I created this graphic recording map during the staff retreat of 2018. It was a very interactive session, and each exercise was drawn as it occurred. The overarching message was one of empathy towards students. It is very evident as the map is reviewed at the end of the day. I can share an anecdote. As I was drawing the Escape the Tomb exercise, the group was given increasing pressure to hurry and finish their tasks. I was feeling the same pressure as I was drawing King Tut. Hurry!! Got to get this done…only 10 seconds left! It was a fun day.
